Tasting note
14 Hands wines draw inspiration from a time when wild mustangs roamed eastern Washington State's hills. This captivating landscape, once home to unbridled horses, now nurtures their vines. Unveils blueberry, blackcurrant aromas, hints of dried herbs, and spice. Dark stone fruit flavours are enriched by cocoa and embraced by velvety tannins on the palate
Vinification
After harvesting, the fruit was destemmed and softly crushed into upright stainless steel tanks and rotary fermenters. Crushed grapes were cold-soaked for 48 hours, then warmed and introduced to a mix of yeasts beginning a 10-day fermentation. The final wine matured for months in French and American oak barrels, enhancing the blend's smoothness and character
Food Match
Tomato-basil bruschetta, aubergine parmesan, herb crusted prime rib, grilled beef steak or hearty venison stew.
