Tasting note
Vivid and bright bouquet, perfumed with dark cherry and blueberry notes, underscored by a hint of pencil lead. The palate reveals a medium-bodied, mineral-driven entrance. Silky and harmonious in texture, it conceals a noteworthy structure leading to the finish. Blason d’Issan, often considered a second wine, showcases impressive craftsmanship.
Vinification
"Blason d’Issan, the Chateau's second wine since 1995, selects Margaux vines. Youngest vines create a terroir-respecting, round-fruity delight. Aged 14-16 months in barrels, 1/3 new. Around 120,000 bottles yearly. Harmonious mid-January blend features high Cabernet Sauvignon (77%). Chateau d’Issan 2014 stands out uniquely, embodying its essence.
