Tasting note
Gently fragrant on the nose, it shows more expression on the palate where the flavours of blackberries and plums are underpinned by attractive tobacco leaf notes. As the wine breathes, it reveals great fruit intensity and the aromas of the ‘maquis’ come to life, distinctly recognisable to the Léoube vineyards.
Viticulture
Traditionnal manual viticulture, pruning, trimming, debuding, green harvst, harvest by hand. Natural weeding by soil plowing and ship grazing. Sortimg of the grapes in the field.
Vinification
Slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in oak, ageing in used French oak casks for a minimum of 24 months.
