Tasting note
Argentinian Malbec, rich and filled with berries, plum jam, the fine, perfumed acidity of redcurrants, with the elegant scent of violets on the nose, plus the sweetness of vanilla and a smear of dark chocolate.
Viticulture
The vineyards benefit from deep, rocky soils, Andes irrigation, and a wide thermal range of around 22°C. With only 120mm annual rainfall, 15% humidity, and 350 sunny days, the arid climate produces highly concentrated, uniquely fruity wines with intense color and flavor.
Vinification
Grapes hand-selected, pre-fermentation maceration at 8°C in stainless steel tanks. Fermented with native and selected yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation with oak contact. 70% aged 12 months in French and American oak barrels, blended with 30% stainless steel-preserved wine.
Food Match
Ideal with traditional Argentinean dishes based on red meats also with hard cheeses and smoked cold cuts.
