Tasting note
A Cabernet-based blend of enormous charm, as warm in the mouth as its Lebanese homeland, with blackberries, blackcurrants, a dash of green pepper and a slice or two of strawberry.
Viticulture
Named after the wide range of altitudes of the 110 hectares of prime calcareous marl terroir which IXSIR uses across the Lebanon between 800 and 1700 metres above sea level.
Vinification
Manual night harvests in crates of 18kg and transport to the ultra sleek hi-tech winery in Basbina in temperature-controlled trucks. Gentle crushing and de-stalking. Temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel. Restricted ageing period in used oak barrels.
Food Match
The fruit characters of the wine will pair perfectly with roasted red meats.
