Tasting note
The wine parades a combination of peach halves, roasted marcona almonds and lemon meringue pie. White nectarine and green melon dominate the palate with an oyster shell saline finish. This wine gathers up a collection of intriguing aromatics and delivers the zippy acidity and elegance of cool climate Orange in one.
Viticulture
From a viticulturist perspective, we strive for low-intervention grape growing and wine-making practices. We aim to utilise Mother Nature at every step of the growing season and believe that good canopy management is vital in producing cool climate wines that stand out from the rest.
Vinification
Harvested at night to retain as much fruit characters as possible. Grapes are pressed as soon as they arrive at the winery and settled overnight in tank before being racked off the solids. Wines are all natural fermented with indigenous yeast. Matured for seven months in a combination of 20% new and seasoned oak.
Food Match
Sweet shellfish like pearl meat or razor clams.
