Tasting note
Tropical Verdejo from Rueda, snappy with lime plus a soft pineapple tang and a juicy note of peach on the finish.
Viticulture
Growing conditions during the cycle were excellent. The winter was cold with night frosts as expected in a region with a continental climate. During the harvest the nocturnal cold is a key factor in ensuring that the grapes are picked at a low temperature to avoid oxidation.
Vinification
The grapes are cooled and taken to pneumatic presses. The must is fermented and temperature controlled in stainless steel vessels at a very slow rate. The wine is creamy due to the period of ageing with the lees after fermentation.
Food Match
Perfect as an appetiser and with cold dishes such as steamed vegetables, salads, creamy cheeses and white meat.
