Tasting note
Dark cherry and cassis fruits combine with notes of chocolate and five spice. Fine tannins add a textural element to this wine, which is complemented by generous, ripe dark berry fruits.
Viticulture
South Brook vineyard in Marlborough's Southern Valleys offers diverse microclimates, crafting complex Pinot Noir with intense cherry and berry notes. 2019 saw a slow start but advanced ripening led to an early harvest.
Vinification
Hand-selected fruit, cold-soaked for 5 days, underwent wild fermentation. 10% whole bunch for complexity. Aged 10 months in French Oak, 55% new oak (15% puncheon).
