Viticulture
Single vineyard site in the Gimblett Gravels growing district in Hawkes Bay, NZ. The vineyard was planted in 2002. The vines are VSP trained and sustainable viticulture is practiced.
Vinification
Nest: meticulous vineyard, winery care. Handpicked, gently destemmed, small open-top vat fermentation. Post-ferment maceration balances fruit and tannins. Basket pressed, 30% new French oak. Blended after 6 months, 12 months further oak maturation. Exemplifying dedication in every sip
