Tasting note
Stylish, elegant and generously fruited - a delicious Barossa Cabernet. The Eden Valley fruit is showcased by lifted red currant and blue fruit notes, whilst the Barossa Valley fruit contributes aromas of dark chocolate and rich black fruits. The savoury tannins run fine and long with a crunchy red fruit freshness and sweet cassis flavours on the palate.
Viticulture
Sourced from two distinct vineyards, one high in the Eden Valley, a sub-region of the Barossa, the other being the Riebke Vineyard, in the North of the Barossa Valley. The Eden Valley is decided cooler and later ripening driving finesse whilst the Riebke brings dark fruits and richness.
Vinification
Source blocks are harvested separately and fermented in a range of open fermenters. Pumped over by hand twice daily, the ferments are pressed to tank after 5 to 7 days on skins then racked to seasoned oak for 12 months prior to careful blending and bottling.
Food Match
This wine pairs well with lamb or beef dishes but is readily enjoyed by the glass with friends.
