Fresh, fruity Rioja from old vines, all raspberry and liquorice, with a touch of herbaceousness on the nose.
Viticulture
A selection of old vineyards, between 50 and 70 years old, located in Rioja Alta.
Vinification
Hand picked during the second and third week of october and transported to the winery in boxes and small trailers.
Fermentation take place in 25 ton stainless steel tanks under a controlled temperature below 25º C, and maceration is extended for 2 weeks. Aged in new French oak barrels between 3 and 4 months.
Food Match
Roast lamb or beef with herbs such as thyme and rosemary. Manchego cheese.
