Supporting charity
At Enotria & Coe, we foster a rewarding workplace environment for our employees by providing ongoing support for charitable causes. We support leading industry charities such as the Drinks Trust and Room to Reward. Additionally, we have established a dedicated Charity & Social committee tasked with coordinating company socials, events and will look to support local volunteer projects in the future. Indeed, we recognise the importance of supporting our immediate community and are therefore actively involved in assisting smaller, local charities, too. As a sizable business, we have a responsibility to contribute positively to the well-being of our surrounding communities.
Training & development
In addition to imparting wine knowledge to our customers, we provide continuous training to our own staff, too. This includes established wine training programmes such as WSET, MS, and MW, with further educational opportunities for all employees to deepen their understanding and appreciation of wine and spirits. To celebrate our 50th anniversary, for instance, our employees travelled around the globe to meet 50 of our exclusive partner producers. It is an approach that fosters a connected and immersed team, and ensures that everyone at Enotria&Coe lives and breathes the same air as the industry we serve.
To maintain operational efficiency and ensure our employees possess the necessary skills, we also provide them with sales and management training, comprehensive induction and onboarding for warehouse staff, and access to Flick Learning, a library of on-demand digital training modules. Furthermore, we offer mentoring and career progression opportunities to support our employees' professional development. We indeed prioritise promotions from within the Enotria&Coe family, investing in our people and equipping them with the skills needed to excel in their roles. This approach not only cultivates employee loyalty and retention but also minimises disruptions for our customers typically caused by high staff turnover.
Employee wellbeing
We recognise that our employees are our greatest asset and are committed to ensuring they can thrive in optimal conditions. To support their well-being, we provide comprehensive assistance through our free employee assistance programme, available 24/7. This programme offers access to various services including GP consultations, therapy sessions, counselling, and legal advice. In addition, we conduct an annual employee well-being survey to gather feedback and address any concerns. We also prioritise mental health awareness by organising workshops and facilitating the qualification of Mental Health First Aiders within our workforce. These trained individuals are equipped to handle mental health concerns sensitively and confidentially, providing support and guidance to colleagues in need and helping them explore available options for assistance. We have an onsite gym and encourage our staff to use these facilities during the day to help with improving mood and mental health.
